25 Days to go! Fundraiser for 100 More Cell Phone Chargers for Ukraine Closes June 15!
The Club’s District-wide art raffle and auction to raise more than $13,000 to ship another 100 solar cell phone chargers to the people of Ukraine

With Other Clubs’ Help, 14 Lander Students Will Go to RYLA!
Last month, we reported that our Club would be able to sponsor eight Lander 7th graders and two high school students to the Rocky Mountain
Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) programs in June in Estes Park, CO, thanks to significant donations by club members. Well,
that number is now up to 11 students for Young RYLA and 3 for RYLA! The Casper Rotary Club (1 spot) and the Cheyenne After Hours
Rotary Club (4 spots) “donated” five paid spots ($700 each) to our Club so we could send these extra students to this exceptional youth leadership
program! And oh, by the way, Lisa Dawson, who led this effort this year, has volunteered to lead our RYLA program next year!!

That’s NOT the Energizer Bunny...That’s Your Service Committee at Work!
Our Service Committee, under the leadership of
Maria Kidner, m2kidner2@gmail.com, has been busily at work on numerous projects:
- Distributed 250 dictionaries to 3rd graders in area elementary schools, led by Stan Cannon. Cost: $1,056.
- Installed shelving units, dividers and cube baskets at a cost of $1,325 for the Foster Parents Closet at the Life Resource Center, to
- organize supplies for foster parents in need. Led by Janet Seeley and Gail Duba.
- Helped in cleaning up City Park on May 17. Led by Jon Tonkowich.
- Purchased 7 patio chairs ($183) and delivered them to the Girls’ Home. We’re looking at staining decks and steps there again, maybe this summer. Jerry Venters took the lead.
- Selected a Lander Valley senior to receive the club’s $1,500 college scholarship, to be presented at school assembly on May 28. Led by Renee Kniola.
- Members will be helping sand and stain the city’s benches along Main Street this Thursday and Friday. Maria has the lead.
PB&J Still Needed and Welcomed!
The Service Committee continues to collect peanut butter and jelly for the Little Food Pantries. Bring them to any weekly meeting for collection. If you’d prefer not to buy it yourself, $$$ are totally acceptable...and welcome!!
