Annual Business Meeting and Pie Auction Next Wednesday
The Club’s Annual Business Meeting next Wednesday, Dec. 18, will be short and followed by something sweet! You should have received reports from all Committee chairs already, and there will be the election of officers for 2025-26. Then it will be time for fun – the annual pie auction! As usual, proceeds will go to The Rotary Foundation, plus...buyers will score matching Recognition Points for their contributions. Can it get any better than this?!?

Service Committee Has a Lot Going On:
- 100 solar cell phone chargers have been shipped to Ukraine! Chair Ken Schreuder is now focusing on the next 100, which will cost about $12,000, start to finish.
- Carbon monoxide monitors have been purchased and are being distributed. Perry Cook has led the effort. The club has contributed $500 for this citywide project.
- Work will get under way in January on sorting clothes and building shelving for the DFS’s Foster Care program at the Life Resource Center.
- A co-chair is needed to assist Stan Cannon in the distribution of dictionaries/thesauruses to 3rd graders. The goal is to finish the project in February.
- Watch for a “peanut butter drive” in early 2025 to supply the Little Food Pantries!
Congrats and Positive Thoughts!
Congrats to our own Bill Sniffin, who recently received the General James O. Amos Award from the National Newspaper Association. The award is presented to a working or retired newspaperman who has provided distinguished service and leadership to the community press and his community. In 86 years, only one other Wyoming publisher has received this award.
Send some positive thoughts out to Stan Cannon, whose mother died earlier this month.
