On December 27 of last year, President Mike Lilygren presented our own Ernie Over with his second Paul Harris award.
Ernie joined Lander Rotary on December 31 on 2003; he served as president of Lander Rotary 2009-2010.
He has also served as the Public Relations Chairman for Rotary District 5440.

Over, of Pavillion, Wyo., is a former Wyoming newspaper editor and play-by-play sportscaster. He was the editor of the Wyoming State Journal and Wind River News in Lander from 1995 to 1998, and senior staff writer at The Ranger in Riverton from 1998 to 2003. He served on the Wyoming Press Association Board of Directors for two years, 2001-03. Ernie has many years of award-winning experience in media and tourism, including seven years as Chief of News and Information for the Wyoming Travel Commission, three years as Chairman of the Wind River Visitors Council and eight years as president of the Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources Commission. He was a management consultant in Dallas in the mid 1980s, and before returning to Wyoming in 1995, he worked at Paramount Studios in Hollywood as an assistant to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. In 2001, Ernie was recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as Wyoming’s Small Business Journalist of the Year for his significant contributions and as an advocate on behalf of small business.
