Lander Rotarians Undertake Projects at Group Home

Eight Lander Rotarians and three Rotary spouses descended on the Fremont County Girls Group Home on August 7 to begin a number of work projects at the home.  They helped clean up the grounds and a storage shed and hauled away four pickup loads of trash, including a large barbecue grill from the elevated back deck and some worn-out couches from the living area.  Others sanded door trim and rails on the back deck for future priming and painting, while others sanded the flooring on the back deck and the entire front entry porch in preparation for staining.  All done with the sound of weed eaters whirring in the background.

Prior to the work day, Lander Rotarians had built a fire pit for the home’s residents and purchased and installed a dishwasher.  The work projects will continue for several more weeks because painting and staining cannot all be done at the same time.
