STACI LANCASTER

Staci Lancaster is currently working as a Staff Writer for U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID).  Her responsibilities include writing guest columns, statements and position papers.  Prior to moving to Lander in August 2010, Staci served as Senior Policy Advisor for Senator Crapo in his Washington, DC office.  As Senior Policy Advisor, she was responsible for agriculture, trade and immigration issues and the Senator’s assignments on the Senate Agriculture and Finance Committees.  Previously, Staci was the Minority Staff Director for the Senate Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Forestry and Rural Revitalization and later the Senate Finance Subcommittee on International Trade, Customs and Global Competitiveness.  

Prior to working in Senator Crapo’s office, Staci worked as Legislative Assistant for Congressman Doc Hastings (R-WA), where she served as his advisor on agriculture, trade, judicial, immigration, labor, foreign affairs, defense, transportation and education issues.  She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Political Science and Communications. 

Staci is a native of Washington State, and her parents and siblings live in Royal City, WA, where she was raised.  Staci currently lives in the Red Canyon area with her husband, Arlen, daughter, Gracie, and dogs, Cody and Addie.  She is enjoying exploring Wyoming and being part of the Lander community, where she serves on the Museum of the American West Board of Directors and as President-elect for the Rotary Club of Lander.
